RAPID INTERFACE RE-DESIGN
A new design language & interface design for the innovators behind the visuals of radio
THE CLIENT
Technology company Xperi develops digital products for some of the biggest media brands in the US and Europe.
THE PROJECT
Rapid is a platform that powers visual content for radio providers around the globe, allowing stations to collect and create rich visual content and to publish it on digital radio, FM and online platforms.
I was tasked to re-design the interface and make it more intuitive and user friendly. This is so it could allow not only experienced show creators to compile visually enhanced radio productions but also the less tech-savvy studio assistants and DJs, giving a more dynamic radio experience.
The design process included making a fully functional prototype so all the nuances of the UI could be tried and tested before being handed to developers. In addition to this a comprehensive design system which included all components of the UI and how they function so as Rapid scales the user interface can remain consistent.
